The title page calligraphy is by Laura Sackett of Berkeley, California. The images of the sea eagle across the title page were printed from relief plates made from original art done by Jennifer Dewey of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The images were colored by hand with water-based pigments using the pochoir process. Reprinted from The Complete Works of Keith Douglas, edited by Desmond Graham (1978), by permission of Oxford University Press.
